It’s not easy to describe the moving ceremony that took place last Friday, 31 May.
We celebrated our student’s accomplishments with a church service in Ondiz chapel, with music provided by some of the pupils and their teachers.
With speeches from both students, parents, Father Nestor and the headmaster, Mr. Juan Martorell, a very emotional atmosphere was created with their kind words.
Following this formal, solemn academic event in a delightful setting, the evening continued at school with shared anecdotes, conversations and celebration.
The students of Baccalaureate 1 also played their part, designing a video for those in 2nd of all the special moments that they have experienced during the years of study spent in their second home – our beloved St. George’s.
It was lovely to be able to share with them the great satisfaction of a job well done, to look forward to a future full of opportunity, and to form part of a group of people who have had the privilege of spending their formative years in the attentive and caring hands of St. George’s school.
We wish them all the very best for their future, guided always by the excellent preparation they have obtained.
“Once a Georgian, always a Georgian.”
